For being the butt of so many jokes and stereotypes the Prius C is a surprisingly competent little hatchback with many of the stupid features of the Prius (what the fuck is that shifter? And the gauge cluster?!) thankfully absent. It still has one of the worst hybrid systems ever devised, with a simple trip around the parking lot resulting in the annoyingly loud and not terribly smooth gas engine firing up and shutting off again three or four times depending on how fast I was going/accelerating (the Volt, for the record, does hybrid systems the right way). Blech. Still a decent car. I’d rock it if one was given to me. The interior was very well put together and didn’t feel very cheap for a Toyota product, which was another bonus.

I kinda like it, not gonna lie. I’m just not crazy about the nose on the facelifted model, but I like the new taillights.

Also has LongbowMkII’s favorite engine!

Co-worker has one and I hate the interior. Getting it in it made me go “oh right, it is a cheap car with a hybrid system”. And I drive a Crossfire.

I generally believe you can’t go wrong with orange...but not that orange.

Yaris minus functionality.

I like the looks of it. It needs an all wheel drive system and 300 hp so Toyota can enter WRC.

If you have a long daily commute, and room for more than one vehicle this is the car you need.
As an aside, I bet it would look better if you opened up the head and tail lights and blacked out the surrounds (not the lenses, not the reflector, the surrounds!)

Ouch.

It'd be a good city car.

The Yaris hatch will be in WRC next year I believe.

It’s a cheap way to save gas
However i hate the Yaris so a more expensive hybrid Yaris won’t appeal to me either.
Personally, I’d just get the wagon in black if I had to get a prius

Yeah, but it’s ugly compared to the Prius C.

I’ve always liked the little things. All the benefits of the Prius with none of the pretentiousness.

Neither will win any pageants.

My roomate traded his Prius for a Challenger V6.
Drove the everloving piss out of that Prius. No matter how hard you beat on it it would always get 43 mpg. We got it to hit 110mph with five college dudes in it. Toyota says the limiter is 104. It would’ve kept going but the battery ran out, and the pedal was actually pushing back at him.
